Margie (Pierce) Lee

Margie Pierce Lee, 85, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at her home, after an illness.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, January 26, 2018, at Sand Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church, with burial following at Anderson Cemetery, Coward.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.

Mrs. Lee was born on December 20, 1932 in Timmonsville, daughter of the late Erbie Pierce and Lovie Vause Pierce. She was married to the late Hubert M. "Bobby" Lee for 60 years, before his death in 2008. Margie was a member of Sand Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.  

Surviving are her children, Brenda Joyce Lee of Coward, Tommy (Gaye) Lee of Timmonsville, Belinda L. (Edd) Spell of Thomasville, GA and Bob (Rachel) McKenzie of Florence; son-in-law of 44 years, Thomas Lee; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Reverend James A. (Ruth) Pierce of Timmonsville; sister, Milton Vause of Olanta; sister-in-law, Shirley Pierce of Effingham; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert E. Picirilli of Nashville, TN; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Pierce and Edward Pierce; sister, Dorothy P. Collins.
