Lynn Avant

Martha Lynn Avant, 52, wife of Tommy F. Avant, died Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Lake City Community Hospital.   

Lynn was born on April 14, 1967 in Dillon County, daughter of the late David Lee Rouse and Edith Mae Hyatt Herring. She was a member of Gilead Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Tommy F. Avant of Scranton; son, Dustin Harrelson of Mullins; grandchildren, Grace Harrelson, Levi Harrelson and Raylee Lynn Smith; siblings, Karen (Teddy) Rabon of Hamlet, NC, Sharon (Donald) Johnson of Marion and Chris Rouse of Dillon; her daddy, Ernest (Will) Herring of Marion.

Lynn was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Harrelson; her first husband, David Harrelson and a sister, Marilyn Rouse.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Gilead Free Will Baptist Church, Scranton. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Gilead Free Will Baptist Church.
