Joyce Annette (Miles) Miles

Joyce Annette Miles, 82, wife of Kenneth Miles, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the services at the funeral home.

Joyce was born on November 13, 1935 in Florence County, daughter of the late Roland J. Miles and Thedocia Langley Miles.  She was a charter member of Grace and Glory Ministries and was active in the Cornerstone Sunday School Class and the church choir. Joyce worked in the shipping department at Wentworth Mfg. Co. for over 25 years and later was an associate with BC Moore and Sons for a number of years.  She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning and cooking.  Joyce loved crocheting and had crocheted hundreds of items for family and friends. When her health declined her favorite past time became reading.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Kenneth Miles of Scranton; children, Kenny (Cindy) Miles of Lexington and Kathy (John Wright) Floyd of Lake City; grandchildren, Tara Jane (Christopher) Snead of Timmonsville, Ann Miles of Lexington, Spencer (Allison) Floyd of Scranton and Aleshia (Travis) Roberts of Lexington; great grandchildren, Delaney and Darby Snead, Lily Kate, Lane and Baker Floyd, and Holtin Roberts; sister, Libby Cooke of Columbia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Miles, Homer Miles and Roland Glen Miles.
