Joy (Hill) Powell

Joy Hill Powell, 43, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Carolinas Hospital, after an illness.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow in Norwood Family Cemetery, Scranton.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Tuesday, July 24, 2018, prior to the services.

Joy was born on October 24, 1974, in Florence, daughter of Robert Clark and Karen Hill. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and Florence-Darlington Technical College with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. Joy was a member of Camp Branch Free Will Baptist Church and was a Respiratory Therapist at Lake City Community Hospital.

Surviving in addition to her parents, Robert Clark and Karen Hill of Lake City are her children, Kara Ridgle, Ciera Daniels and Brendan Daniels, all of Lake City; sisters, Sharon (Eddie) Gray, Tracy (Manley) Norwood; step-sister, Tonya Norwood; half-brothers, Joey Clark and Bobby Clark; grandchildren, Kyler Lee and Ryker Floyd.

Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Powell and grandparents, Essie & Monroe Hill.
