Jerry Pierce, son of Jackie Norton Pierce and the late Cletus Pierce, passed away on May 17, 2018 at the age of 67 years old, in the comfort of his home in Lake City, SC.
Jerry was born on May 14, 1951, in Florence County and was the oldest of his siblings. He enjoyed the life of retirement in Lake City close to his mother. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and served the Lake City community for over 25 years, many of those as the fire Chief of the Lake City Fire Department. Jerry's favorite past times included fishing, golf, and all things related to the fire department. "Pierce" had such a caring heart for others, never missed the chance to make you laugh, and never met a stranger a day in his life. His laughter and bear hugs will be missed most of all by his family.
He is survived by his only daughter, Tracey (Jerry) Coward of Scranton; grandchildren, Jeremey Coward of Columbia and Adellia Coward. His mother, Jackie Norton Pierce of Lake City; brother, Ricky (Kathy) Pierce of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Gaye (Jimmy) McClam of Lake City and Stacie (Ricky) Todd of Pamplico, and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Bible Outreach Church, Lake City.
