James O'Neal Miles

James O. Miles, 69, husband of Ruby Lynn McCutcheon Miles, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at MUSC, Florence.

Mr. Miles was born on July 30, 1949 in Florence County, son of the late Christle Allen Miles and Georgia Etta Stone Miles Creel.  He served in The South Carolina Army National Guard and was a truck driver with Associated Petroleum Carrier and Thomlinson McWhite. Mr. Miles enjoyed fishing and watching football.

Surviving are his wife, Ruby Lynn McCutcheon Miles of Coward; daughters, Candy (Howard) Evans of Florence, Bonnie (Donald) Lee and Holly McElveen, both of Lake City and Rosanna Miles of Florence; sons, Chris (Cassie) Miles of Scranton, Randy Miles and Johnny Thompson, both of Coward; thirty two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Misty (Stephen) McGee and Janet (Gary) Parrott; three step brothers; a step sister; and a close friend, Wesley Parrott.

Mr. Miles was preceded in death by his son, T. J. Thompson, Jr.; brothers, Hubert Miles, Eddie Miles and Benjy Miles; and a step brother.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
