James McBrayer, Jr. Obituary

James C. McBrayer, Jr., 37, husband of Wendy Nexsen McBrayer, died Thursday, July 11, 2019, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.

Mr. McBrayer was born in Clanton, AL on September 20, 1981, son of James C. McBrayer, Sr. and Dorothy Bennett McBrayer.  He was a graduate of Lake City High School and Florence Darlington Technical College.  James was an avid Alabama fan. He enjoyed the beach, camping and his favorite holidays were Christmas and Halloween. He was South Carolina's Chapter Leader for Debbie's Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Lake City are his wife, Wendy Nexsen McBrayer of Lake City; son, Cameron McBrayer of Lake City; daughters, Kenzie McBrayer and Ella McBrayer, both of Lake City; sister, Brandi (Mason) Jones of Auburn, AL; and a brother, Robert (Jesse) McBrayer of Aiken, SC.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, July 15, 2019, Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home.
