Harvey L Barfield

Mr. Harvey L. Barfield, 85, husband of the late Louise Miles Barfield, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at home after an illness.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M., Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Hicks Cemetery, Coward.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M., Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the funeral home prior to funeral services.

Mr. Barfield was born December 23, 1932, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Jackson Harvey Barfield and Ida Mae Dennis Barfield.  He was a member of Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Mr. Barfield was a retired farmer and had previously worked with Daniels Construction Company of Florence, and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving is a daughter, Jenny Barfield Gerald of Scranton; grandsons, Daniel Patrick Gerald and Brandon Todd (Kasey) Gerald, both of Scranton; great-grandchildren, Kelcey Todd Gerald and Carley Danielle Gerald; and sister, Annie Larue Prosser of Scranton.

Mr. Barfield was preceded in death by sisters, Mary B. Matthews and Martha B. Benton; and brother, Charlie Barfield.
