Francis "Frank" N Elmore

Mr. Francis N. "Frank" Elmore, 78, husband of Frankie Smith Elmore, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at McLeod Hospice after an illness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 15, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 15, 2018, at the funeral home prior to services.

Mr. Elmore was born March 9, 1940, in Florence County, a son of the late Madison Hugo Elmore and Beatrice Lee Elmore.  He attended Olanta schools, and worked in construction operating heavy equipment for 42 years.  Mr. Elmore retired from Florence County Public Works after 22 years.  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  Mr. Elmore was an avid fisherman and gardener.

Surviving besides his wife of 60 years, Frankie Smith Elmore, are; two daughters, Jeanie Elmore and Jaméa (Earle) Thompson; grandson, Matthew Thompson; sister, Rose Marie Conyers; two brothers, Richard Elmore and Mack Elmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Elmore was preceded in death by five sisters, Vonda Elmore, Carrie Elmore, Margaret Cribb, Mae Cliff Johnson, and Mary Alice Harrelson; and a brother, M.H. Elmore.
