Evon Barfield, 85, wife of the late John William ""JW" Barfield, died Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Regency Hospital in Florence.
Mrs. Barfield was born on November 25, 1933 in Florence County, daughter of the late Andrew Williams and Jerushie Locklair Williams. She was a member of Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy and was employed with Campbell Soup Company in Sumter for many years. Evon enjoyed attending church, listening to gospel music and watching Cops on TV.
Surviving are her daughters, Rachel Huggins of Lake City and Nancy Parrott (Terry Howard) of Cornelius, NC; son, Wayne Barfield of Lake City; grandchildren, April Plexico (Staci), Ricky Huggins (Tina), Jason Huggins (Tina), Ronald Huggins, Melissa Evans and Joseph Parrott (Amy); great grandchildren, Cheyenne Huggins, Donald Huggins, Mariah Castaneda, Patrick Huggins, Elizabeth Huggins, Maura Huggins, Lilli Plexico, Leah Plexico, Haley Sims, Riley Sims, Wes Sims, Cadance Parrott, Cassidy Parrott, Chloe Parrott, Cole Parrott, Callie Parrott, Canaan Parrott; great-great grandchildren, Talaya Huggins and Javaeh Jenkins.
Mrs. Barfield was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Williams, Hoyt Williams, Jack Williams, Fennette Floyd and Ola Mae Watford.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy, Scranton, with burial to follow at Strickland-Feagin Cemetery, Lake City.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2019, prior to the services at the church.
