Durell McGee

Paul Durell McGee, 74, husband of Patricia M. McGee, died Friday, December 14, 2018, at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence.

Mr. McGee was born on August 13, 1944 in Florence County, son of the late Tommie L. McGee and Angela Feagin McGee.   He was owner/operator of McGee Painting, attended Faith Holiness Church, Scranton, a member of Emmanuel Ministries Church, Florence and a member of the Faith Singers. 

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Patricia McKenzie McGee of Scranton; daughter, Paula McGee (Loy) Hayes of Lake City; three grandchildren, Daegan (Harley Watford) Cupp, Gavin Hayes and Christian Hayes, all of Lake City; siblings, Mary Lou Matthews of Scranton, Shirley (Billy) Altman of Charleston and Freddie (Etheleen) McGee of Scranton.

Mr. McGee was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa McGee Matthews; and his siblings, Ruby Mae McDougal and Bobby McGee.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton, and other times at the home of his daughter, Paula (Loy) Hayes, 670 South Scurry Road, Lake City, SC.
