Dorothy M. Lee Farmer, 89, wife of the late Ed Farmer, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, at her residence after an illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Bible Temple, Coward, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Farmer was born on August 20, 1928 in Florence County, daughter of the late Will Matthews and Marie Lamb Matthews. She was a homemaker and member of the Bible Temple in Coward. Mrs. Farmer enjoyed garden work and was a loving and caring, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her sons, James E. "Pete" (Edna) Lee and Leverne (Brenda) Lee, both of Coward; grandchildren, Freddie (Sarah) Lee, Penny Huth, Leverne (Betsy) Lee, Jr., Michele (Chris) Gaskins, Sylvia (Jody) Lee and Lorie Ann (Jimmy) Floyd; fourteen great grandchildren; and sixteen great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by a daughter, Lizzie M. Baxley; siblings, Jack Matthews, Alberta Collins, Vera Lynch and Nora Jordan.
