Colin Alfred Moore, 75, husband of Cheryl Humphries Moore, died Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at his home, after an illness.
Colin was born on February 18, 1943 in Williamsburg County, son of the late Laverne Moore and Helen Walker Moore Violette. He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and was a former part time minister at Old Johnsonville United Methodist Church. Colin was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from Lake City Electric, where he worked in outside sales.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Cheryl Humphries Moore of Cades; children, Sherelle M. Purvis of Pamplico and Reverend Jason (Melanie) Moore of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Heather Purvis, Megan Purvis, Clara Moore and Benjamin Moore; siblings, Edward L. Moore of Asheville, NC and Doris M. Feagin of Timmonsville.
Colin was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Michael Moore; step-father, Johnny Violette; father and mother-in-law, James Norman Humphries and Myrtice "Midge" Humphries.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Hebron United Methodist Church, Cades. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Olanta Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Hebron United Methodist Church, Cades.
