Chief Master Sgt. Joe Henry Lowder

 CMSgt Joe Henry Lowder, 83, husband of Brenda P. Lowder and son of the late Hubert Van Lowder and Isla Marie Dennis Lowder, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

CMSgt Lowder was a member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church, the Pee Dee Shrine Club, Omar Shriners and a 34 year Federal Employee of McEntire ANG Base, USAF/SCANG (CMGGT).  He was a Life Member of the DAV, Masonic Lodge #48- Scranton, EANGUS and National Guard Association of South Carolina (NGASC).

CMSgt Lowder is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Powell Lowder and their daughter, Jennifer L. (Garie) Poston of Pamplico and son, Joe H. "Joey" (Kelly) Lowder, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Aliza Madison Lowder, Ansley Marie Lowder and Holland JackHenry Poston; sister-in-law, Mildred P. Lowder of Cross; and brother-in-law, Carl W. (Shirley) Jordan of Scranton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

CMSgt Lowder was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell (Johanna) Lowder, Arnold (Jackie) Lowder and Dennis Lowder; sisters, Eulalia Lowder Jordan and CaroNell Lowder (Lloyd) Kaufmann.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, with Masonic Rites and Full Military Honors, will follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
