Carolyn Buddin Kinder Kirby, 85, wife of Wright "Buck" Kirby, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at home from an illness, Cades.
Mrs. Kinder was born August 31, 1933, in Clarendon County, a daughter of the late Johnny E. Buddin and Sudie I. Wheeler Buddin.
She was a member of Cades Pentecostal Holiness Church, and a dedicated Primary Sunday School Teacher.
Carolyn graduated from East Clarendon in the year 1953. Carolyn retired from Baxters, Inc., and was a member of Woodman of the World #27.
Carolyn was a very devoted and loving wife to both of her husband. She was also a sacrificial mother, grandmother and great(s) grandmother.
Surviving sister, Vera (Clifford) West of Milwaukie, Oregon; husband of nine years, Wright "Buck" Kirby of Cades; children; Jeanette Crawford of Kingstree, William (Missy) Kinder of Hemingway, Johnny (Kay) Kinder of Cades, Alvin Kinder of Cades, Doris Ann (Harry) Dennis of Cades, Theresa (Paul) McKissick of Johnsonville, Rev. Donnie (Hilda) Kirby of Lake City, Wanda Kirby (C.H.) Lynch of Kingstree; seventeen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, seven great, great-grandchildren, and one great, great, great grandchild.
Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by husband Donald Y. Kinder of 43 years of marriage, brother Ervin Buddin, sister Mary Olive Buddin Freeman.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Cades Pentecostal Holiness Church, Cades, with burial following at Hebron Methodist Gravesite in Hebron.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M., Friday, October 12, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
