Bertie Lee Morris

Bertie Lee Morris, 76, husband of Shelby Jean Morris, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017, after an illness.

Mr. Morris was born in Williamsburg County on November 2, 1940, son of the late Heddley Lucius Morris and Emma Lucille Coker Morris.  He was a member of Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church and owner/operator of Morris Painting.

Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Shelby Jean Morris of Scranton; son, Chad Lee (Deanne) Morris of Evergreen; daughter, Tonya (Mark) Moseley of Florence; sister, Mary Phillips of Goose Creek; brother, Glenn (Joyce) Morris of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Kristen Leigh (Frank) Robinson of Aiken, Chad Lee Morris, II of Kentucky, Madelyn Faith Morris of Aiken, Harley Lee Moseley and Joshua Moseley, both of Florence; and great grandchildren, Kendrick Robinson, Leon Robinson, Mae Jean Robinson and Royal Robinson, all of Aiken.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry, Edward and Rembert Morris; and his sisters, Shelder Morris Reed and Willow Grace Richardson.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton and other times at the home of Chad Morris, 4327 Armfield Road, Effingham, SC.
