Benjamin R Daves, Jr.

Pamplico:  Benjamin R. Daves, Jr., 83, passed away at MRMC on Friday, September 8, 2017.

Ben was born on March 30, 1934, to Violet Beach and Benjamin Reid Daves.  He was a proud Airman having served his country in the US Air Force.  Ben was a Mason where he was a member of the Cleveland Lodge #202. Ben's occupation was as a regional sales manager for Pacific Molasses where he was well liked and excelled. 

Ben is survived by his three sons, Benjamin R. Daves, III of Coward, SC, Jon Timothy (Kristy) Daves of Pamplico, SC and George Bradley (KD) Daves of Shelby, NC; his pride and joy were his grandchildren, Megan and Mandy Daves, Summer Daves, Benjamin and Brandon Daves and Jacob, Kenly and TY Daves; brother, Jerry (Gail) Daves of Mocksville, NC; sister, Johnsie (Lewis) Blackwood of Hickory, NC.

Ben is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Brenda Daves Berry and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Lynch Daves.

Memorial services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
