Annie R. Worrell, 84, wife of the late Jack "Dempsey" Worrell, died Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her residence after an illness.
Mrs. Worrell was born on September 10, 1934, in Florence County, daughter of the late Charlie Wallace and Eva Gibbons Wallace. She was a homemaker and a member of Believers Bible Chapel.
Surviving are her children, Richard (Becky) Worrell of Chesterfield, Patsy (Sabn) Johns of Timmonsville, Melvin (Marian) Worrell of Manning, William Harris (Diane) Worrell of Kingstree and John (Vonda) Worrell of Cades; siblings, IvaNell (Robert) Ruthven of Darlington, Adelle Tisdale of Kingstree and Shelby Jean Smoak of Columbia; ten grandchildren, Erin (Jason) Stanley, Traci Worrell, Cliff (Chrissi) Worrell, Rebecca (Ted) Jones, Courtney Pate, Melvin "Possum" Worrell, II, Pamona (Wayne) Capers, Shea (Autumn) Johns, Lee (Candace) Worrell and Matt (Ann) Worrell; twenty-three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Worrell was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Worrell, three brothers and one sister.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, November 19, 2018, at E.V. Gaskins Cemetery, Lake City, SC, directed by Carolina Funeral Home of Scranton.
The family will receive friends at the home 237 Brockington Road, Kingstree, SC 29556.
