Paul W. Spires

Mr. Paul W. Spires, 49, husband of Bonnie Flowers Spires, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at his home after an illness.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the church prior to funeral services.

Mr. Spires was born March 30, 1968, in Florence County, a son of Robert Spires and Mary Ann Jordan Hutchinson.  He was a member of Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Paul was a master carpenter and owner of Spires Construction.

Surviving besides his wife Bonnie F. Spires of Coward; are, children, Ebbi Matthews of Coward, Paul Ryan Spires of Spartanburg, Chris Spires and Christian Spires, both of Coward; grandchildren, Alaina Grace Matthews, Adyson Ryan Spires, Karman Dale Spires and Ella Winnie Spires; mother, Mary Ann Jordan Hutchinson of Scranton; father and step-mother, Robert and Faye Spires of St. Matthews; siblings, Vinnes Ann Tanui of Columbia, Brent (Michelle) Spires and Lavern (Michelle) Spires, both of Scranton, and step-brothers, Ricky (Tracy) Oberlies and Michael (Allison) Oberlies, both of St. Matthews.
