Hubert Poston

 Mr. Wade Hubert Poston, 76, husband of Linda Flowers Poston, died Friday, August 4, 2017, at home after an illness.

Hubert was born July 22, 1941, in Florence County, a son of the late Wade Felder Poston and Jessie Mae Poston.  He was a 1959 graduate of Hannah High School, and was Parts Manager for Service Motor Company of Pamplico for fifty years retiring in 2010.  Hubert was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Director, Youth Sunday School Teacher, member of the Men's Sunday School Class, Church Choir and the Church Brotherhood.  He was a very devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Surviving besides his wife of 54 years, Linda F. Poston of Pamplico; daughters, Sherry Poston (Chris) Weaver and Amy Poston (Scottie) Turner, both of Pamplico; grandchildren, Lindsey Weaver of Mt. Pleasant, Christen Weaver (Cody) Owens, Kathryn Turner and McKinley Turner, all of Pamplico; sisters, Merrie (Jimmie) Hyman of Camden, Rita (Guy) Bell of Lamar, Nell (William) Floyd of Olanta, Brenda Cain of Pamplico and Kathy (Steve) Jackson of Pageland; and brother, Steve (Robin) Poston of Scranton.

Hubert was predeceased by a sister, Carol Poston.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 7, 2017, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following services at the Church Fellowship Hall.
