Hazel (Hyman) Wise

Hazel Hyman Wise, 77,  wife of the late Haskel Marvin Wise, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at her residence in Florence.

Mrs. Wise was born on November 1, 1939, in Florence County, daughter of the late Earl Willard Hyman and Lottie Calcutt Hyman. She was a graduate of Hannah High School. Mrs. Wise was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she served in various capacities from serving in the nursery to teaching the Adult Sunday School class. She and her husband, Marvin owned and operated Wise Repair Service, which opened in 1965, serving the needs of their community, side by side for almost 50 years.

Surviving are her daughter, Kim Wise Sint of Greenville; grandchildren, Monica Sint and Mark Sint, both of Greenville; sister, Rebecca (Howard) Weaver of Pamplico; brother, Lancie (Jeannie) Hyman of Pamplico; sisters-in-law, Thyra Wise Hyman of Murrells Inlet, Barbara Wise McCutcheon of Scranton; a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Pamplico, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
