SCRANTON: Carolyn Yvonne Clark Tomlinson, 51, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her residence.
Ms. Tomlinson was born February 11, 1960 in Florence County; a daughter of Carolyn Buffkin Clark and the late Robert Jackson Clark, Sr. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and attended Francis Marion University. Ms. Tomlinson was a LPN, licensed in both SC and NC for over 14 years. She also loved and had a passion for gardening.
Surviving are her son, Clark Tomlinson and his wife, Ashley of Charlotte, NC; her mother, Carolyn Buffkin Clark of Scranton; two brothers, Robert Dale Clark and his wife, Claire of Mt. Pleasant and Joe Clark and his wife, Kay of Scranton; one sister, Mary C. “ Wonkie” Lee and her husband, Glenn of Scranton ; three nieces, Linda McKnight of Scranton, Kathy Matthews and her husband, Glen of Lake City and Joy Powell of Scranton; four nephews, Chad Clark, Blane Lee and Derrick Lee, all of FLorida and Joey Clark of Scranton; her companion, Linwood Anderson of Scranton and their special dog, Katie.
Ms. Tomlinson was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John R. Clark; her maternal grandmother, Essie Buffkin; her father, Robert Jackson Clark, Sr.; her sister, Alice C. “Tudy” McKnight and her niece, Donna McKnight Floyd.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 30, 2012 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Graham Cemetery, Scranton, SC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday night and from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
