HEMINGWAY: Shirley Ann Altman Springs, 68, wife of Dudley Springs, died Saturday, September 15, 2012 in a Columbia Hospital.
Mrs. Springs was born January 12, 1944 in Florence County, a daughter of the late Segal E. Altman and Lena Mae Floyd Altman. She was a member of Leo Church of God and retired from A.B. Dick Company of Lake City.
Surviving are her husband, Dudley Springs of Hemingway; two daughters, Sandra (Terry) Prosser of Kingstree and Donna (Ron) Pruitt of Florence; one son, Jamie (Rechelle) Springs of Hemingway; four sisters, Marie (Sonny) Hodge of Turbeville, Geneva White of Laurens, Wilma (Ken) Shaw of Lexington and Iris (Junior) Odom of Lake City; 9 grandchildren, Jessica Pruitt (Randy) Hatchell, Rusty Perry, Kelsey Pruitt, Robert Breece, Hunter Springs, Haleah Ann Springs, Jordan Moore, Justin Prosser and Amy Prosser; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Springs was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Altman, and a brother-in-law, Bob White.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Leo Church of God. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Hwy 378 Bypass, Scranton, SC and other times at the home of Jamie and Rechelle Springs, 3443 Vox Highway, Hemingway, SC.
