COWARD: Mr. Johnny L. Carter, 55, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, after an illness.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:30 P.M. Saturday, December 24, 2011, at Carolina Funeral Home, with graveside services to follow at 3:00 P.M., at Unity Christian Fellowship Church Cemetery, Highway 301, Timmonsville, SC.
Mr. Carter was born April 1, 1956, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late David Laverne Carter and Iveleen Port Carter. He was a machine operator with Carter Logging Company.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Odom of Coward; three sisters, Brenda (Willie) Anderson of Coward, Darlene (Donald) Strickland of Florence and Rhonda (Ricky) Frye of Friendfield; three brothers, David “Junior” (Janice) Carter and Randy (Shannon) Carter, all of Florence, and Jimmy Dean (Renee`) Carter of Coward; and a number of extended family members and friends.
