CADES: Mrs. Helen Sink Cade, 87, wife of Samuel Edward “S.E.” Cade, Jr., died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence, SC, after an illness.

Mrs. Cade was born July 20, 1922, in High Point, North Carolina, a daughter of the late George Sink and Fannie Foster Sink. Mrs. Cade was a loving wife and homemaker for sixty-eight years and was a member of Cades United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cade enjoyed life and especially spending time with her family. She was known as “Mammy” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that loved her unconditionally. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are: Her husband, Samuel Edward “S.E.” Cade, Jr., of Cades; four daughters, Judy (Otley) Evans of Cades, Barbara (Bobby) Graham of Scranton, Cecil (Norman) Wise of Coward and Lucy (Jerry) Braveboy of Cades; sisters, Betty S. Bray of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Dot S. Arnold of Raleigh, North Carolina; brother, Lawrence Sink of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Teresa (Reese) Graham, Bob (Courtney) Graham, Randall (Jennifer) Graham, Renee (Chad) Christopher, Tammy (Sonny) Collins, Norman (Jona) Wise, Jr., Kristy (Rich) Haddock and Kimberly (Ryan) Connor; ten great-grandchildren and one expected great-grandchild in July; and special caregiver, Martha Mane. She was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Sink and a sister, Clara Bow Sink.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Cades United Methodist Church with burial in the Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00—8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Highway 378 ByPass, Scranton, South Carolina, and at other times at the home: 5105 Cade Road, Cades, South Carolina 29518.
