SCRANTON: Mrs. Christa Bell Hanna Floyd, 88, wife of the late Leon Floyd, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Lake City/Scranton Health Care Center, Scranton, SC.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M. Friday, August 3, 2012, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, 215 E. Highway 378 ByPass, Scranton, SC.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service, and at other times at the home of her niece, Gail H. Hill, 235 Lake Dale Avenue, Lake City, SC.
Mrs. Floyd was born April 18, 1924, in the Hannah Community of Florence County, a daughter of the late Davis Hanna and Lizzie Keefe Hanna. She was a telephone operator for years and later worked as a seamstress with Wentworth Manufacturing Company of Lake City. Mrs. Floyd was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Lake City.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Opal Wise of Lake City; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Prosser; two brothers, Ray Hanna and Murdock Hanna; and a sister, Virginia H. Daniels.
