LAKE CITY: Mrs. Burnette G. Brown, 73, wife of the late Walter Ray Brown, died Thursday, November 24, 2011, at her home after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the services.
Mrs. Brown was born November 7, 1938, in Florence County, a daughter of the late Doris Floyd and Maybell Gaymon Floyd. She was a graduate of East Clarendon High School and a member of Great Commission Ministries.
Surviving are her sons, Kent D. Brown and Kelvin R. (Sue) Brown, all of Lake City; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Judy (Oneal) Springs of Lake City; brother, Reverend Jimmy (Donnie) Floyd of Lake City; and special friend, Louise Poston of Lake City.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Lynn Brown and two brothers.
