SCRANTON: Brandon Mitchell “BB” Barr, 22, died Sunday, September 02, 2012, at Kershaw Health Medical Center, Camden, SC.
Brandon was born on September 1, 1990, a son of Charlie Barr and Wanda Matthews Cook. He was a graduate of Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, Florence, having just graduated and passed the State Board. Brandon was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Wanda Matthews Cook and Randy Cook of Scranton; his father and step-mother, Charlie and Millie Barr of Orangeburg, brother, Christian Matthews of Scranton; sisters, Brooke Matthews and Haley Cook, both of Scranton; his grandparents, Marion and Cathy Matthews of Scranton; uncles and aunts, Jimmy and Stacey McDaniel of Coward, Kenny & Lisa Matthews of Scranton, Frankie and April Millhouse of Orangeburg, and Brian and Danielle Matthews of Florence; special friend, Kyle Ranville of Camden; and many more special friends.
He was predeceased by grandparents, Legrand and Elaine Stone.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Lake City Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Hwy 378 Bypass, Scranton, SC and other times at the home, 2413 N. Matthews Road, Scranton, SC.
