JOHNSONVILLE: Mrs. Beulah Poston White, 94, widow of Stanley Edward White, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at her residence after an illness.

Mrs. White was born on February 27, 1915, in the Hannah Community, a daughter of the late Cully Evans Poston and Capitola Hanna Poston. She was a homemaker and life-long member of Union Baptist Church.

Survivors are her two daughters, Genevieve White (James) Weaver of Johnsonville and Kathy White (Jimmy) Poston of Johnsonville; four sisters, Edna (Paul) Poston of Lake City, Eloise Poston Wilson of Blythewood, Vonnie (Buster) Poston of Thompson, GA, and Annie Powell of Hannah; one brother, Bussy (Jenny) Poston of Hannah; eight grandchildren, Natalie Weaver (Al) Howell of Johnsonville, Elizabeth White (Terry) Hyman of Florence, Maethonia Weaver (Will) Thompson of Johnsonville, Laura White (Brian) Hunt of Hartsville, Anita Weaver (Tommy) Leviner of Johnsonville, Josh (Caroline) Poston of Friendfield, Jill Poston (Edward) Pacelli of Charlotte, NC, and Matthew Edward White of Clayton, NC; and eleven great-grandchildren, James Allen Howell and Collin Howell of Johnsonville, Anna Hyman and Eric Hyman of Florence, Olivia Thompson and Sophie Thompson of Johnsonville, Mason Hunt, Coleman Hunt and Martha Hunt of Hartsville, Maggie Leviner and Lila Kate Leviner of Johnsonville.

Mrs. White was predeceased by a son, Mark Edward White, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie (Eulila) Poston, Cully (Mildred) Poston, Chuck (Arlee) Poston, Ronald Lee Poston and brothers-in-law, Howard Wilson and Carl Powell.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Union Baptist Church in the Hannah Community, with burial to follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Highway 378 ByPass, Scranton, SC, and at other times in the home: 1442 West Sandpit Road, Johnsonville, SC.
